Endeavour Recruitment has a fantastic long-term contract opportunity to work for a large organisation, North West of Dublin.
Our client is looking for a Database Developer to join their team for an initial 6 months + contract at a daily rate of up to 600 euros, depending on experience..
The successful candidate will be autonomous, adaptable, as well as a good communicator and team player, in a multi-cultural environment.
The ideal Database Developer will have the following skills and experience:
- Good knowledge of application development environments
- Knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications
- Strong knowledge in Java programming (object-oriented core, Maven, J2EE, Spring)
- SQL and NoSQL databases
- XML, XSLT
- Java script (Angular JS, JQuery)
- Web services SOAP/REST (APIs) and technologies (e.g. HTTP, certs, cookies, headers,
- asset loading)
- ETL (appreciation and understanding of relational databases, ETL principles and data
- quality)
- experience with planning and executing the processing of a variety of data-sources in batch and in real time
- experience using JIRA, Subversion, or equivalent and experience working in an Agile
- environment.
Desirable:
- experience with Big Data platforms and frameworks (e.g. architecture, principles,
- troubleshooting, debugging, application development)
- experience with Big Data technologies or tools (e.g. semantic web, URIs, RDFa,
- RDF/XML, MapReduce, CouchD, MongoDB, Redis, OpenRDF Sesame, triple store, Blazegraph,
- N3, Turtle, JSON-LD, 4store, owlim, NodeJS)
- familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl, etc.)
- experience with linked open data and transforming data from a database to RDF,
- storing data in a triple store, staging data for SPARQL queries, SKOS
- willingness to engage with linked (open) data, RDF, SPARQL, familiarity with some of
- the following front-end: HTML 5, CSS 3, Javascript, Firebug and JS frameworks (jQuery, jQuery
- UI, Open Layers, etc.) and at back-end data-layer: Hibernate, Oracle, MySQL.
