We have an excellent permanent opportunity for a Survival Equipment Supervisor required to join a Military client on a permanent basis.

Full time, onsite

The Role:

As a Survival Equipment Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Survival Equipment Supervisor is primarily responsible to the Survival Equipment Controller for the efficient and effective management of all flying clothing maintenance activities for Hawk contract at RAF Valley but will also need to attend unscheduled aircraft faults and rectification duties. Successful Survival Equipment Supervisor will also be expected to support main bay maintenance activities as required. The SE Supervisor will ensure daily that all maintenance is conducted in a safe manner and is carried out in accordance with approved maintenance data and the staff conducting the task hold the correct and current maintenance authorisations.

 

Daily duties:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved maintenance data with discrepancies, errors and omissions reported appropriately for rectification.
  • Conduct all maintenance activities in line with regulatory requirements laid down in documentation as appropriate.
  • Ensure staff hold and can display currency in all maintenance authorities required whilst carrying out maintenance.
  • Ensure staff are briefed on all latest safety, company and maintenance notices and that understanding is confirmed and support SE Controller with development of succession plans, the setting objectives, and the resolution of performance issues.

Essential experience required:

  • Survival equipment specialist industry experience and Relevant working experience in a Fitter position within a related engineering environment
  • Full Driving License
  • Use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to apply existing and emerging technology.

Essential Qualifications required:

  • Training in relevant discipline to City and Guilds Level or level 3 equivalent
  • Ability to attain Q-SE-AC/Q-SE-AV-Med following formal training

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) clearance for this role.
